Market Risk Officer

JOB SUMMARY:
- Tassist in monitoring the effectiveness of the management of the Bank’s exposures in terms of market, liquidity and credit risks, inclusive of the monitoring of compliance within limit usage and enhancing control processes.
- provide assistance tthe Head of Market Risk and Treasury Division on the implementation of new products or initiatives in terms of related market and credit risk analysis.
- assist in the evaluation and validation of financial models and the validity of data employed in risk management processes.
- maintain the day tday reporting of Market Risk Operations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
- Monitor the Bank’s exposure on market risk (FX, interest rate, derivative and other treasury products), liquidity Risk and Credit Risk and report the CRfor any breach of limits and/or increased Risk exposure.
- Monitor the Bank’s compliance tthe existing and approved market risk, liquidity risk, credit risk, balance sheet management framework, policies and procedures and mitigation strategies.
- Verify and validate various financial models and data employed in risk measurement processes.
- Follow all policies/regulations, control and compliance procedures provided by the company tmake prompt report of suspicions or proposed transaction according tthe documented process on reporting and or compliance with local regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Banking or Finance discipline
- Sound knowledge in financial market products and dynamics
- Have an understanding in specific risk associated with treasury products and both front and back office operations of the treasury functions.
- A competent level of financial mathematics and sound experience in financial modeling and/or data base management
- High integrity, risk focus, good analytical skill and attention tdetails
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- PC literate, high integrity, risk focus and attention tdetail
- Proficient in written and spoken English
